Ingredients
8 oz pasta (rotini or any short pasta)
6–8 slices halal-style crispy bacon substitute (such as soy or mushroom “bacon”)
1–2 cups cherry tomatoes (halved)
2–3 cups romaine lettuce (chopped)
½ red onion (thinly sliced or diced)
1 cup shredded or cubed cheese (cheddar, Swiss, or Monterey Jack)
¾–1 cup alcohol-free ranch dressing (store-bought or homemade)
Salt and black pepper (to taste)
Optional: fresh herbs like parsley or dill
Instructions
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil; cook pasta until al dente
Drain and rinse pasta under cold water to cool
Cook halal bacon substitute in a frying pan until crispy
Drain on paper towels and chop into bite-sized pieces
Chop romaine, halve cherry tomatoes, dice onion, and cube/crumble cheese
In a large bowl, combine cooled pasta, tomatoes, onion, cheese, and bacon
