Description
Handheld pecan pie-inspired pastries with a gooey nutty filling wrapped in buttery crescent dough. Sweet, nostalgic, and perfect for quick desserts.
Ingredients
1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp corn syrup
1 tbsp melted butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp cinnamon (optional)
Pinch of salt
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper
Combine chopped pecans, brown sugar, corn syrup, melted butter, vanilla extract, cinnamon (if using), and a pinch of salt in a mixing bowl
Unroll the crescent dough and separate into 8 triangles
Place 1 tsp of the pecan filling onto the wide end of each triangle, leaving 1/2 inch margin
Fold the dough into a crescent shape and tuck the edges together
Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown
Brush with additional melted butter while still warm
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days
Cinnamon adds warmth; omit for a simpler flavor
For extra crispiness, bake at 400°F for 18 minutes
