Description

Milanese-style chicken roll ups with a creamy, savory filling wrapped in golden crescent dough and finished with a luscious soup sauce. This nostalgic, crowd-pleasing dish offers flaky exteriors and rich flavors that work perfectly for weeknight dinners, pairing well with both kids and adults.


Ingredients

2 cups cooked chicken (shredded or chopped)
4 oz cream cheese (softened)
¼ cup sour cream
¼ cup cottage cheese
½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder
Salt & black pepper (to taste)
1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough (or 810 dough triangles)
1 can cream of chicken soup
½ cup milk


Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
Mix cooked chicken, cream cheese, sour cream, cottage cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper in a bowl until well combined.
Lay each crescent dough triangle flat, add 1–2 tablespoons of filling to the wide end, and roll tightly. Place seams down in the prepared dish.
Bake for 10–12 minutes until slightly set.
In a separate bowl, mix cream of chicken soup with milk. Pour the sauce evenly over the rolls.
Continue baking for another 8–10 minutes until golden brown and the sauce is bubbly. Cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For fluffier rolls, ensure the dough is fully thawed before filling. If the rolls begin to brown too quickly, cover with foil.
To add flavor, sprinkle a pinch of paprika or Italian seasoning over the rolls before baking.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
