Description

Fill your kitchen with amazing sweet and savory aromas with these sticky, glazed drumsticks. Caramelized edges and tender, juicy meat that falls right off the bone make these finger-licking good. Ready in under an hour with simple pantry ingredients.

Ingredients

10 chicken drumsticks

1/3 cup honey

3 tablespoons soy sauce

2 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar (or lemon juice)

1 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon dried thyme (or Italian seasoning)

Optional: chopped parsley or sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 400°F and lightly grease or line baking dish with foil or parchment paper.

2. In a medium bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, olive oil, minced garlic, vinegar, paprika, black pepper, salt, and dried herbs until smooth and well combined.

3. Place chicken drumsticks in baking dish and pour honey garlic sauce over them. Turn each piece so they’re all beautifully coated.

4. Bake uncovered for 25 minutes. Chicken will start cooking through and sauce will begin bubbling.

5. Remove pan from oven and spoon sauce from the bottom over each drumstick.

6. Return to oven and bake for another 15-20 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165°F.

7. Optional: Switch oven to broil for last 2-3 minutes for extra caramelization. Watch closely.

8. Sprinkle with fresh parsley or sesame seeds if using. Serve warm.

Notes

Don’t skip the basting step – it ensures every bite is coated with sticky glaze.

Watch carefully if you broil at the end because honey can burn quickly.

Pat drumsticks dry with paper towels before coating for better sauce adhesion.

Line your pan with foil for the easiest cleanup ever.

Make sure garlic is finely minced so it distributes evenly.

Don’t overcrowd the pan – chicken needs space for even cooking.

Double the recipe for meal prep or feeding a crowd.
