Description
Crispy and golden chicken wings coated in a rich garlic Parmesan sauce. Perfectly balanced for tender meat and a savory, umami-packed flavor profile. Ideal for game nights or gatherings.
Ingredients
2–2.5 lbs chicken wings, split into flats and drumettes
1 tbsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
½ tsp onion powder
½ tsp paprika (optional)
4 tbsp butter
3–4 cloves garlic, minced
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tbsp olive oil
1–2 tsp lemon juice
Optional: red pepper flakes
Optional: fresh parsley
Instructions
Pat chicken wings dry with paper towels.
Toss wings in a bowl with baking powder, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and optional paprika until fully coated.
Preheat oven to 425°F or air fryer to 390°F.
Place wings on a rack (oven method) or in the air fryer basket. Cook for 40–50 minutes (oven, flipping halfway) or 22–28 minutes (air fryer), until golden and crispy.
Meanwhile, melt butter and olive oil in a small saucepan. Add garlic and cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Add lemon juice, red pepper flakes (if using), and optional parsley.
Return cooked wings to the saucepan and toss until evenly coated.
Notes
For optimal crispiness, avoid overcrowding the pan or air fryer.
Adjust lemon juice to taste for balance.
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
Optional: Opt for a no-air rack by placing wings directly on a baking sheet for slightly softer skin.
