Description

These creamy, tangy frozen treats blend blueberries, Greek yogurt, and heavy cream for a summer favorite. Naturally sweet yet rich, they’re customizable, healthy, and perfect for hot days. No pork, bacon, or alcohol used.

Ingredients

7 oz (1 1/3 cups) fresh or frozen blueberries
1/4 tsp fresh lemon juice
3/4 cup full-fat Greek yogurt
1/4 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup + 2 tbsp water
3 tbsp sugar
1/8 tsp salt
1/4 cup additional sugar

Instructions

In a medium saucepan, combine blueberries, water, 3 tbsp sugar, lemon juice, and salt. Cook over medium heat for 5-7 minutes until blueberries soften and release juices
Remove from heat and let cool slightly; transfer to a blender/food processor and blend to smooth puree
In a mixing bowl, combine puree with Greek yogurt, heavy cream, and remaining 1/4 cup sugar. Stir until homogeneous and fully creamy
Pour mixture into popsicle molds, leaving space to prevent overflow
Freeze for 4-6 hours until solid

Notes

Use frozen blueberries for a tart flavor contrast
Adjust sugar to taste, or replace with halal-certified sweeteners like maple syrup
Add a drop of vanilla extract for extra depth
Store in molds at -18°C (0°F) for up to 3 months
Use halal-certified Greek yogurt and heavy cream if available
