Ingredients

3 ripe bananas, sliced
1/2 cup melted butter
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp baking powder
Pinch of salt

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C)
Pour melted butter into a prepared baking dish
Whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, milk, and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl
Pour the batter over the butter in the dish without stirring
Arrange sliced bananas evenly on top of the batter
Bake for 40-50 minutes until golden brown and set
Let cool slightly before serving
Serve with cinnamon sugar or a scoop of ice cream

Notes

Banana cobbler is best served warm
Use very ripe bananas for maximum sweetness
The cobbler can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days or in the refrigerator for 5 days
For a vegan version, replace butter with a dairy-free substitute and milk with a plant-based alternative
