Description

Tender, juicy butterflied chicken drumsticks grilled with aromatic garlic butter. Perfect for summer barbecues or quick weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

8 chicken drumsticks

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried parsley)

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon paprika

Optional marinade: 2 tablespoons lemon juice, 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

1. Butterfly the chicken drumsticks by making a slit along the bone and opening the meat

2. In a bowl, mix melted butter, garlic, parsley, salt, pepper, and paprika

3. Optional: Marinate drumsticks in lemon juice and olive oil for 30-60 minutes

4. Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat

5. Brush garlic butter mixture over drumsticks and place on grill

6. Cook 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway, until internal temperature reaches 165°F

7. During last minutes, baste with remaining garlic butter

8. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

Use a meat thermometer to ensure chicken is fully cooked

Rest chicken for a few minutes before serving

Add smoked paprika for extra smoky flavor

Avoid overcrowding the grill for even cooking
